we can see from figure 1 that the concentration is decreasing along the reactor and this due to the chemical reaction. Figure 2 shows the concentration if D, U, and K were constant and we can see that there is a small difference as D, U, and K are a weak function of x. The static instability was avoided by choosing a suitable Δx that satisfies the condition Δx≤2D/U

Summary
In the end , we were able to perform a mass balance over a reactor which help in calculating the concentration of a chemical over a distance by using FDM.
